Remember Playland Park — the 1950s-era theme park near where Astroworld was later built? A modern version with a nostalgic twist is being proposed in Texas City.
The city has confirmed an area physician’s interest in building the park on 25 acres near the Tanger outlet mall, but no plans have been submitted........

Let's how this works out.

bad location...Hurricane Zone which is in direct path and makes it look like 6 flags new orleans..

At least the explosions or blowoffs will be in the far backdrop. The potential shock wave will make it part of the thrill. Otherwise that's actually a pretty good location.

But being in a hurricane zone like the Kemah Boardwalk or Pleasure Pier didn't stop them from being built-- or rebuilt in the case of Kemah. They'll simply charge exorbitant prices to cover insurance, like they do now, and people will pay it.

Well if it is a small park, like the old kiddie parks Playland Park and Peppermint Park, then it isn't anything on grand scale so that location would be fine - plus it is on the way to Galveston and a lot of people go to Galveston on a regular basis so it would be a quick little stop on a daytrippers venue. All-in-all, not a bad spot.
