Ohhhh reallly?! Over what pray tell? Seriously, spill: I know that at one time the Savoy acted as a type of dorm housing for law students at the nearby South Texas College of Law...I should know, I went there (not when the Savoy acted as student housing).

I know the city has been cracking down on abandoned buildings as of late but I wasn't aware that the Savoy was one of them. There's a large abandoned building in Midtown just on the other side of 45 elevated portion that looks like it used to be either a hotel or office building. I wish a developer would revamp this and/or tear it down and rebuild instead of building NEW apartment complexes. The building looks like it has a wall of floor to ceiling windows facing downtown. Talk about an apt./loft with a view!
