I will be moving to Houston in about 2 weeks, I wanted to know if anyone had any reccomendations as to where young professional African Americans hang out mid 20s early 30s?? Im moving to Houston from Austin alone (single girl) so of course I need to meet new people! Thanks

Please tell us you're going to be living close to your job. Traffic is a nightmare these days with all the people moving here.

Welcome. I don't really have an answer for you but I think you'll find that Houston is less segregated than Austin. When I lived in Austin I remember seeing restaurants and bars full of white folks with very little diversity. I believe Houston tends to gather according to socioeconomic factors rather than race.

Yes Austin is very segregated, Im so excited to finally move away and start something new, I have a few friends in Houston they are all in relationships though, so there will be times when I will hang solo, but I guess I'll just keep my ears open.
