Pearland and Sugar Land are two of the nation's safest cities in which to live, according to Congressional Quarterly | abc13.com

Quote:
Sugar Land and Pearland both were named as two of the safest cities to live in. Allen, Frisco, and Round Rock were other Texas cities in the top 50.

When you look at just large cities, meaning places with 500,000 or more people, three Texas cities made the cut. El Paso was named the safest large city in America. Austin was fourth and San Antonio was tenth.

Wow, El Paso was named the safest large city. That's really surprising.

Yeah I am not buying that - I don't find them to be any safer than any other "nice" area or suburb. Maybe areas that are far off the main paths and not near easy freeway access.

Sugarland in the Police Chief's home and this in Pearland - home grown thieves -- Police: Teen burglary ring targeted homes in Pearland, Bellaire | khou.com Houston

Apparently these suburbs have the same crimes as the rest of the really popular and nice burbs.
