Someone posted about this kind of tile a few years ago and found it at Daltile.

I'm not sure about period tile in Houston area but I can tell you the very very best prices for tile or any flooring is Floor & Decor. There are several locations in our area. I'm not a tile man but work with them every day. Those in the biz buy directly from there for their businesses. Also there is no larger selection anywhere.

I know you already know there is a flooring store on nearly every corner these days. They are all retail outlets, just like the big orange who only wants your little green. They charge full list price or MSRP. Go to a wholesale place like Floor & Decor. You won't be disappointed. They also employ knowledgeable people. Unlike the big orange and big blue store who's grand total home improvement experience, all employees counted, adds up to hanging a curtain rod for Grandma.

Good luck

Thanks for the 'fefer', i sure will, thanks Desert'. Yes, they are everywhere, especially in West Houston, I guess the older homes now are needing updates in the area, lots of business, I never see those stores empty. As you can imagine, i've searched the box stores, online, etc., but tile is heavy and so the shipping charges negate the savings.

I'm guessing they also have subway tile? I've seen that at the box stores, but the quality just is not there; I don't know, something about the edges don't look right.

Try Crossville Tile or Interceramic Tile.

I like daltile but your contractor has to be the purchaser unless you have the type business where you can be considered a contractor and open your own contractor account there.

Depending on how much you actually need to purchase...if I have read this correctly, $1 standard shipping.

Amazon.com: Retro Hex Matte White 10 1/4 x 11 3/4 Inch Porcelain Floor & Wall Tile (10 Pcs/8.4 Sq. Ft. Per Case, $1 Standard Shipping): Home Improvement

Best regards, sincerely
