Moved to houston recently to a nice gated community. in the course of a week i was hit by a car while on a bike, was agressively harrassed by the homeless, and had my wheels stolen off my car. Needless to say i am gonna go back home, and never be in this screw up of a city again.

Nah.....just happens in Houston.

BTW, lived here for 39 years - never had someone hit me, never had my tires stolen. Have been harrassed downtown by homeless and just said "no" and they went away. AND I don't live in a gated community.

I've been living here over a year. Have never had any problems with break ins with my car. Other cities can be worse.

They can be a little more pedestrian friendly here but it's more that drivers aren't used to having bikers or runners on the road.

I live in an apt complex and not a gates community. One will deal with homeless people in any city. Some cities are def worse.
