Does anyone know where to buy a whole duck within a few miles of Champions? I have a craving for roast duck and can't find one anywhere.

Try Hebert's (pronounced A Bears). Although they don't specifically list duck, they feature it in several of their items so if you were to call them I suspect you could get just a duck.

Maybe I looked too early as our Kroger didn't have them. I got one at Hong Kong Market which was quite an experience. The duck came with head and feet intact but the butcher there removed them for me. Meat-eater that I am I couldn't handle that! I will definitely be going back there when I have more time to have a good look around. The prices were very good and I also got a pork roast with skin on, a rarity over here. Will see what the quality is like. The duck was just over $12, $2.59lb.

Isn't 2.5lbs rather small. Thought they usually come in at 4-6lbs or do you mean $2.59 per pound?

Yes, $2.59 lb (just over $12 total price for nearly 5lbs). Of course, I went into my local Kroger after I bought it and now they have quite a few ducks but they were all frozen. They even had goose which I might look for next year, they looked a bit scrawny though.
