The White percentage includes the Hispanic population. If he would have done non-Hispanic whites ("real" whites), then the white percentage would be lower making the overall percentage 100.

For the record, white people make up 70% of Seattle's population and 76% of Portland. The Woodlands is somewhere between 75% and 80%. Funny, I never hear people talk about the lack of diversity in Seattle or Portland. Hmm...

Well hell, if we remove latinos, I guess TX is 100% white then. OK, maybe 90%.

Demographics in The Woodlands changing The Woodlands Texas Lifestyles News on Woodlands Online

So this article basically reiterates what I've been saying for a while on here.

"The ‘new’ Woodlands could eventually become a place where many different cultures reside. The ethnic diversity in large part can be attributed to the influx of transplants from Mexico that The Woodlands has embraced, significantly increasing the community’s Latino population. But many global corporations are relocating their world headquarters in South Montgomery and North Harris counties to include most recently ExxonMobil and Clariant Oil Services. Other global corporations with a presence in The Woodlands include: Anadarko, Baker Hughes, Chevron Phillips, Huntsman, and Maersk Line. The face of The Woodlands now takes on a more international look; although it remains to be seen if the ‘new’ arrivals will all eventually adopt a Texas twang."

Because most of the people interested in those cities are white.

Houstonians don't have a twang. That writer is full of it.

When I went to a 2011-12 College Park High graduation, I can tell you it is not close to that percentage. I might add that a good percentage of caucasians that live in The Woodlands are foreigners. Anyway, Woodlands is mostly cacuasian, but when you walk around, you will see diversity.

Welcome Jek74!!!! You brought us the Chicago chill, or winter for us.
