My husband and I are moving to Houston next year and we're wondering what the cost of a cut Christmas tree is in the area? Also, where are they trucked in from?

Most seem to be trucked in from the Pacific Northwest. I've seen some from the Carolinas.

I made the mistake this year of buying a Douglas Fir from Kroger (local grocery store chain). With 10 days to Christmas to go, the tree is almost completely dead and looks terrible.

We cut our own this year from Dewberry Farm. We have had it for over two weeks now and it is still green and fresh. They had various types of trees for various amounts. Ours ended up being 8.5 ft and cost $135

We bought our Christmas tree from whole foods on Waugh and it is 8 feet tall for $59. It's beautiful and holding up really well. We bought it just after thanksgiving.
