Either Houston or Atlanta could be the king of the south.

When I read this thread title, third rate rap music was the first thing that came to mind.

I dont think there is a king of the South or of Texas for that matter.

Houston, DFW, and Atlanta are all too close to each other to the point that none really truly outshine the other.

Mods is really time to step in and kill stupid nonsense like this. Maybe a doze of common sense for the OP may be suited as well.
I'd think this to be a fairly good representation of what Houstonians think regarding what anyone may think about what Houston is. Houston didn't get where it is by caring what anyone else thinks. Houston got to where it is by getting the job done. If you choose to participate then good for you. If not... see ya later.

Houston is 'king of itself'. Be there, or be square... or something.

Houston is king of good paying jobs not the south, in fact Houston is as International as it is southern in its makeup. Jobs is what people want all around the world, good paying jobs. Having a pro business, pro growth, pro manufacturing environment and keeping cost in line is the key.... not that hard as long as it doesnt conflict with your religion as it seems to in some cities. King of Jobs = Houston

That could be possible. I hope you were understanding what I was trying to say.

Houston isn't in the South. It's in the Southwest.

Just sayin'...
