Of all taxes I pay, at least I know where my tolls are going. Many highways abit with tolls are going up in many places.

I understand they are justifying with keeping up inflation but at the same time if only salaries would keep up with inflation. Everything keeps getting more and more expensive but pay is climbing to keep up. Thank goodness we live in a city with low cost of living to start with.

It just sucks that to get from one side of to another you really have no option besides the beltway. Oh and while that are at the could widen the Westpark too if we have to pay more.

I think it's GREAT news and I'm NOT being sarcastic! While they are at it, how about drastically increasing the tax on gasoline? (still NOT being sarcastic)

Wasn't there an article recently about tolls on the beltway being reduced or eliminated now that their construction has been paid off? So instead they are going to raise the tolls?

When our government is nearly broke, we dont have money to build roads are even maintain them especially with the flat tax per gallon gasoline tax when mpg is going up. We are stagnant as a country. Cities growing like Houston need roads but we dont have the funds to build them so we seek people who have saved up enough capital and have a good debt rating to provide the capital for the toll roads. They should own the roads if they put up all the capital, its not like they are funded by bonds where you do pay a bond or debt only off. We disrespect those with capital we need to fund over lifestyle....not a smart strategy if you understand the capital markets

It's all a scam.

- Don't build infrasctruture until people are sick and tired of the traffic jams
- Offer people "a great solution" which is to build a toll road (mostly paid by taxpayers)
- Build the toll road, everybody is happy (not pissed off anymore) and a few people make lots of money from something that we paid for.

And it goes on and on and on.
