NPR Radio has mentioned this service a few times, before I checked their website.

https://www.npr.org/2012/05/31/15400...-part-time-job

Supposedly, this is a "small tasks" / "handy man" / "gofer" kind of service, similar to what freelancers and outsourcers had for a few years now. Only for general household and businesses.

Task & Errand Service By Awesome, Trustworthy People | TaskRabbit

Did anyone here use TaskRabbit in another city? How was it?

It is not yet in Houston but soon will be. If one of your family member is looking for a side job, I would register with them now and see what they could offer.

p.s. Maybe I could finally ask someone to get me my groceries. LOL

I used a similar service in Seattle and I loved it, until they went out of business because their prices were too low.

i often think something like this would be awesome for houston considering there are so little quality food delivery options! if i could pay someone to pick up food from a restaurant and take it to me they will end up with all of my money

I just got an email saying that the TaskRabbit is now officially in Houston.

Whoever of you need a quick buck or a side job - I guess now is a good time for to start making good task history with them and get tasks/orders and revenue. Based on some videos, there are people out in San Francisco and LA that turn this side job into a full time job. Assembling furniture is one of them. Who knew...

I would guess that there would always be some one willing pay for:
- delivering groceries
- assembling furniture
- cleaning around the house/garage/yard
.. and so on. I would pay to deliver our groceries. LoL. Just not enough time for everything.

Just 0.02. I have no relationship with TR, etc.
