If FHA loan, please check with lender because the HOA does not subordinate

Ahh. so they DO, but only if a lender allows the non-subordination, which they will not. Yet, I got an FHA in a condo community once that had the same thing. I don't remember the details - it was about 10 years ago - could be the lender was Countrywide and they were not paying attention? Lending has really tightened since then.

Here is the interesting part - evidently not all of the listing agents know this - there are some that show FHA available as financing. Trouble down the road here.

Yes, thank you cheryjohns! One of the agents I talked to had not heard of this and was checking to if there was away around this but I guess there will not be and I will have to move on to a different neighborhood as I only want to do fha.....

Can you do 5% down? If so, and you qualify for conventional (credit score), there are a couple of options and your payment will be less (enough to make up the 1.5% difference quickly).
