LOL. My parent's house looks like that in the morning. They keep the AC's on 60. I have to wear a sweater to visit them...and they have a dehumidifier.

Wait a minute, hold up. Houston is hot? Nahhhh cant be lol. Seriously tho it gets kinda redundant sometimes, yes the place gets hot as well but what are we gonna do? Block the sun? Get used to it or move, some like it hot, some like it cold. I say make the most of it and make sure to buy a house with a pool, Most apartments have pools anyways so theres no need to even mention that.

Ok, I have to chime in. I'm a native of Arizona, so what is hotter Houston or Phoenix in the dead of summer

Houston is generally hot and humid in the summer, but because Houston is so massive, it depends on what part you are residing in. Along the I-45 southeast corridor down to Galveston, the high temps generally do not exceed the low 90's in the summer, but the humidity is quite high which brings heat indexs up to around 100 or above. As you get further from the gulf, the temps rise and the humidity drops a bit. For example, places such as the north and northwest suburbs of Houston can easily get in the mid and upper 90's during the summer with 100 or more not out of the question...but humidity is tad lower. Regardless of where you are around Houston, you are pretty much screwed weatherwise

As a general rule, Dallas is dryer and hotter than Houston, but don't be fooled. Dallas can, on occasion get brutal humidity bringing the heat index to 110 and above. Although this isn't the norm, it does happen a few times each summer.
