Depends on your yard and water pressure. Your installer should measure your water pressure and map out your zones based on the water usage of each sprinkler head, so that the pressure will not drop too much with too many sprinkler heads on a zone. I have one zone with 5 of the rotating spray heads in the front yard and one zone in the back yard. The flower beds and side yards/behind garage have 5 zones with about 10-12 mist heads in each.

Just got 8 zones installed for $280 a zone from Texas Green, with a Rainbird control panel. Looks nice!

Is this thread still active?

I just moved to Houston and bought a new house. I would like to install a sprinkler system in my lawn, I've read several reviews about sprinkler installers and they all seem good. A friend recommended a new company that installed a full automatic system on their yard and they did an excellent job, that's according to them of course. They're called Sprinkler Bros, comments?
