My initial plan was to relocate to Atlanta, but plans have changes and now I'm moving to Houston. I'm an out-going black female, late 40's. I need some pointers on things to do and places to go in Houston, mainly near the Westchase District. I love shopping, league bowling, and Live entertainment, preferably R&B, and Smooth Jazz/ with Singers! (Mature Crowd only!!) I've heard mention of a place called The Knob. How is this place, or others like it. I hate the traffic and I know it's crazy there, so places close to Westchase would be great, but if not, that's ok! "Thanks for any thoughts, pointers, advice or input!"

Check out the Horn on Richmond on friday nights. Its pretty good live music. Its on their website too

The club scene has moved to the Washington strip inside the loop. There are some places close to Westchase like Sherlock's. There are a number of restaurants in the Westchase area. But club R&B and jazz might be harder to find, although I believe the Next Door bar on Memorial and Dairy Ashford may occasionally have jazz.
