We must ditch Comcast!

I was going to go with Windstream, but they do not service my area. Surprising cause I live only 2 miles from Long Meadow Farms and 1.5 miles from Pecan Grove.

I do not want satellite internet just cause of the hardware needed, slower speeds, and higher cost. What else is out there? I am considering 4G service like Clear, but is that my best option?

The last time i checked, that area doesn't have AT&T Uverse, but that was about a year ago. You might want to go on their site to see if they have it around Richmond/Rosenberg now.

How did you confirm that Windstream doesn't serve your neighborhood? I only ask b/c when I found out that AT&T didn't serve my neighborhood (AFTER a lengthy checkout process to order service, thank you), I checked Windstream's website and it looked like they didn't serve my neighborhood either.

Then a few days later, I was frustrated that I couldn't find any providers other than Comcast and actually called up Windstream, where the rep looked up my address and informed me that they did indeed provide service to my subdivision.

Of course I assume you've already researched this thoroughly but just thought I'd ask b/c of my experience with the website versus calling them directly.

actually both. I did the checkout through their website just fine, then they emailed me and said they didn't service the area. I called them and had them check again and still said no.

I really wouldn't know to much about that seeing as I live just outside the reach of Clear. 4g in Beach City? forget about it, cell phone service is hard to get here let alone 4g.

but I will say according to statistics, The time delay I have is only a problem for serious online gamers. I really don't value speed though.
