These women holding their "nurse-in" at Target stores...

I get it...Breastfeeding is a "natural, beautiful act"...blah, blah, blah.

So is childbirth.

Cover up, ladies, or do it in private!

Legally, you are in the wrong. Get over it.

If you don't object to eating in public or feeding an infant a bottle, then you should not object to breastfeeding an infant in public. It *is* a natural thing and it is not even noticed in most other countries.

Btw, Texas law says women have the right to breastfeed anywhere.

HEALTH AND SAFETY CODE**CHAPTER 165. BREAST-FEEDING

Quote:
Sec. 165.002. RIGHT TO BREAST-FEED. A mother is entitled to breast-feed her baby in any location in which the mother is authorized to be.

Like urinating?

Oh, but that's different? How so?

I don't mind that women breast feed in public but If I was a woman there is no way I would expose myself in public due to the large amount of perverts out there. As a man I don't feel comfortable exposing my privates in public so I'm not sure why a woman would be ok with it. I'm not sure why women don't just bottle their breast milk for when they have to take their baby out in public.

If you were a woman, then you would know that a nursing infant "covers up" most of the breast. You probably see more with a bikini - but I don't hear men complaining about those.

This thread needs to be closed before it gets heated. Besides it doesn't belong in the city data forum IMO.

So, how is a woman supposed to feed her breastfed baby?? In the bathroom? Would you want to take your food into a public restroom and eat it?

Because urinating is removing WASTE from your body. Not the same thing as nourishing a baby. How are they the same??

Most women can breastfeed a baby in public and you would never know it. Unless you are one of the perverts westhou is talking about and specifically looking for it.

Breast pump. Pump the milk into a bottle at home and take it with you when out in public. That way you don't have to go to a restroom and your child still gets breast milk and not formula. Why is this not an option?
