We're moving from the UK to join my husband who is currently working in Houston. My son plays rugby and cricket so need information on best place to live so we can join rugby or cricket clubs... Also been advised that the Bristish School of Houston should be ok as he wants to study the IB Diploma.... any other schools offering this?
Lastly, if he joined the American school system, would the qualifications be relevant to further education in the Uk?

There's this place RugbyHouston.org (http://rugbyhouston.org/area_clubs.php - broken link), they have different locations so you can look around those areas. I really couldn't find anything about cricket, those sports aren't really that big out here. But you can search google and see if you can find anything. What grade is he in? I'm going to assume high school. So there's Eisenhower High School, Lamar High School, and Humble High School besides the one you already mentioned. In general, some good areas to live are memorial, some parts of Sugar Land, River Oaks, Spring Branch, Katy, and some parts of Missouri City. That's what I can think of right now. Just stay away from the north side, southwest, and 3rd ward. Hopefully more people add in.

The Woodlands, Spring, Cypress, and Humble?
Missouri City, which you recommended, and Sugar Land?

The Awty International School offers the IB program and is about midway between the Energy Corridor and Downtown.

I second Awty but it is difficult to get into. It does have a student cricket club.
