cla, who is the developer for that 99/Fry corner?

I need to check with my friend who works at Whole Foods again...last week I thought he said it was going up at I-10 and Pin Oak.

Fidelis. This past spring they were in negotiations with WF for the 99/Fry intersection. I did look at the latest site plans for a couple of other developments trying to pin down whether or not the Fry/99 location was still good, but no luck. Let us know if you find out anything.

If it makes you feel better, a physician once told me that the quality of food is sufficiently better that it will probably save you money on medical bills in the long run. Rationalization works for me...

You can find pretty much the same stuff in the H-E-B Plus for a cheaper price. To top it off, WF admitted that they use genetically-modified foods. Whether or not GMO is really that bad is not up to me to answer, but it just goes to show even Whole Foods can cut corners.

Why would anyone be jealous about a whole paycheck? WF sucks big time. Central Market on the other hand is another story... though I am pretty pissed off that they got rid of soup samples .

Whole Foods is overall overrated in my opinion. They actually have a pretty weak organic produce section, and they don't carry local produce. Where I came from, we had a great coop with tons of local produce from different farmers around the area. We also had local dairy and meat for those interested. I actually found the coop to be better stocked for organic food, produce and bulk items than Whole Foods.

Whole Foods serves a purpose and is a good place to go when you have no other options for local/organic food, but it is what it is... just a chain grocery store.
