I'm starting my first year at University of Houston in Spring 2012 majoring Consumer science and merchandising.

I have AAS degree in Fashion Design at Houston Community College with a 3.67 GPA.

Is the courses at University of Houston hard compare to Houston Community College? Has anyone major in consumer science and merchandising at UH?

I will be taking my courses online, since I work full time.

IF so please tell me about the consumer science and merchandising program and if you like it or not.

What do you get if you graduate with honor of UH?

Thanks a bunch :-)

U of H is harder. You'll have to take core classes like English that, for example, will help you conjugate verbs. Don't expect it to be as easy as HCC. I don't think they give away prizes for graduating with honors.

I've already took English I and English II. I passed with "B" in both English courses. English is not my main language. I've only been here in the USA for 3 years now. My major is Fashion Design, but it is very difficult to find a job as a designer, especially in Houston. That's why I'm changing my field to merchandising. I want to get into visual merchandising; it's easier to get a job in Houston with that major.

I haven't decide If i want to take courses at UH or Academy of Arts University in San Francisco. Academy of Arts University is really expensive, :-( That's the main reason why I'm against going to that school. Eventhough I love it.

This post is so full of ironies, I don't even know where to start.
