I know of lot of us in Houston have friends and family in Austin. Right now they are having a huge problem with out-of-control fires. Steiner Ranch residents were just asked to evacuate to the local high school.

Cigs are why it happens. We had a brush fire about 1 mile from the house a couple months ago due to this very reason. Trashy people.

Things went from bad to worse. 17,000 acres and 300 homes burned in Bastrop and 25 homes lost in Steiner Ranch. The fires are not yet contained.

I walked outside late last night (Sugar Land area) and could smell burning in the air, what smelled like burning cedar to me. Wind was out of the northeast, I wonder if this is what it was.

So that's why Perry came back here from his campaign trail.
To make sure his tax-funded mansion doesn't get burned down

Probably was. The news said that there is so much smoke, people as far away as Houston can smell it.

I read somewhere else,
that Perry came back to pray for the fire, because long distance prayer doesn't work
