Ditto. There are nicer and not so nice pockets around the park so it is patchy. In general, the more west you go the nicer. In the day, i'm not as worried about H park, but I don't recommend it at night, which goes for all parks actually.

I wouldn't consider midtown at night any safer than med center - once the lights go out - it's all about the same.

Yeah, there's quite a few homeless people in the midtown area. Plus, tons of drunk a-holes driving around on the weekend.

Thanks for everyone's help. I won't be going through the park during the dark, just after work around 5 or 6PM.

We had actually looked in Midtown but the apartments they had coming available in September wouldn't work for us. And with the aparment along Almeda we'll get 200 more square feet than a similar priced one a mile away in the Museum District (just without granite countertops which I don't care about).
