I saw the sky darkening and knew there was going to be rain. The sky got more dark, and now it's literally pouring outside. I love the rain, but I am not looking outside with all the lighting and thunder ( I can feel it in the ground). I hope this brings our precipitation average up.

I'm in Pearland at the beltway and 288 and a tornado touched down. Destroyed a swath of residences while not touching others. Snapped mature trees like they were twigs. Strangely power was never lost. What a mess outside. I have all kind of peoples personal belongings scattered around me. I was untouched as far as damage while about 100' away they are crying outside.

Oh my, that's what I was afraid of. The weather looked and felt like tornado weather. Sorry to know there was actually one that touched down.

Got a lot of rain Uptown. It's been a long time since I've seen it this heavy. I hope the rest of the week we get the same. It was getting kind of annoying seeing on the news Montgomery County getting all the rain and getting nothing down here in Houston.

OMG! Glad you were not directly hit but I'm so sorry to hear about this. Did you have any warning?

I haven't seen anything on the news yet - would have thought it would be the leading story on the 6pm news (KHOU).

I wish your neighbors all the best.
