Which, if any, master planned communities are within a 30 minute (rush hour) to downtown?

I am looking at many different master planned communities but my commute would be to hobby airport.

I like shadow creek but the situation with the landfill is disturbing and the wife has ruled this place out.

Taffic is the big issue apparently so if you find one closer to work you will do OK.

I like the Woodlands and Sienna Plantation.

Thanks for the replies-especially about the landfill info. That doesn't sound pleasant!!!

Does anyone know how far the commute time is from Fall Creek?

Pearland might be an option.

If your commute is to Hobby, I would totally rule out The Woodlands.

As a pilot I am out for 3-4 days, sometimes just two. This would give me about two "drives" a week, mostly at off peak times. If it was a 9-5 M-F that would be a different story.

We are still looking however. There are just so darn many places to choose from!!

Kingwood is a wonderful place to live with a 30 minute commute downtown.

Do you have to have good school districts? How is your tolerance for transitional neighborhoods?
