If you love music and beer, you’ll love Houston Beer Fest this weekend. The one-day festival June 11 features more than 80 brands of beer, 15 bands on three stages, beer pong and flip cup tournament. Lots of food to sample, of course, to go with the beer!
Save $10: Discount tickets are available to Houston Beer Fest, thanks to Goldstar. You’ll need to sign up with Goldstar, but it’s free!
General admission tickets are $12 (plus a $3 service fee) instead of $25 tickets sold online. For those who want to enjoy the festival without drinking, get a Designated Driver ticket for just $5 (plus a $2 service fee) instead of $10 online.
The event is located at Hermann Park Square, 900 Smith St., from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m.

Yes it will be VERY hot, and I hear people that drink beer don't bathe so most of the people there will smell like homeless people covered in BO and spilled alcohol on a 100 degree humid day. Also heard that there is lots of crime near Hermann Park so keep that in mind if you dare think of attending.

Default Another festival that used to be free...

I used to ride my bike from Memorial Park to downtown for this event, it was a lot of fun, but I don't recall it being very hot. I thought it used to be in October. Oh well... too hot for beer drinking in the afternoon for me anyway.

Thanks Elnina.

It is what happens when you get married, and have children. If I drink beer in the sun, I get sleepy. I guess I'm getting old!
