is there a realtor here who would be willing to get some comps for me? I am preparing for my meeting with HCAD this week. i purchased my home february 2011 in westbury section 3. i can give more details as needed through a DM if anyone can help

If you bought your home 4 months ago can't you just show them what you paid for the house to have it appraised at that amount? Certainly the value hasn't changed that much in 4 months, has it?

they are really fighting me and even after saying my purchase price their offer was still over by $5k. i dont want to go in there and just have my purchase price and get slammed down. i'd rather have multiple documents supporting my claim

Yep. We paid less than our appraisal and it was really easy to protest.

Our Realtor provided us with documents to help us with this. She was awesome.
