So on Living Social site (similar to Groupon), they advertised a deal where you would get 4hr of cleaning from 'Ready to clean' company.
I have never used a cleaning service before so I'm wondering.

1. Have any used this cleaning company and how are they?

2. Would 4 hr be enough to cover a 2300 sqrt houses? Do they usually clean inside ovens and kitchen greases, etc.. as well? They fine print said that they will send a team of 2 peole, does that mean that they will only be at my house for 2 hrs (2x2 = 4)

2. Do you need to tips the cleaners?

3. The site stated that they will charge additional service fee for homes that are more than 20 miles from their site, which we are. How much additional cost will be?

I realized that I could call the company and ask questions but I'd rather hear from experience as I don't trust business that I have not worked with.

You get 2 people for the 4 hours, you would be best off contacting the company directly about specifics as to cost and what they clean. I would be hesitant to do a social deal on a service company like that for the simple reason that a cleaning company is only going to have staff to do their normal weekly jobs so if they get a huge influx of business via livingsocial they are either going to have to schedule you way out or they are going to have to bring in a ton of subs to do the work and you may not get the best quality people. Frankly I would be suspicious of the deal on its face because they are offering 4 hours by 2 people for only $59, plus with those daily deal sites the lister typical only gets 40% which means $24 to the company so the company is charging you $3/hr for 8 man hours of cleaning. Typically cleaning companies/cleaners do a % split on the cost of the job 60/40 with 30% to each cleaner so the cleaners would only make $7.20 each for 4 hours of work which I doubt they would go for so if the company is paying somebody $8/hr to do these jobs they are still losing $40 minimum per job which is a pretty expensive way to acquire potential customers. That leads me to believe they will find a way to upcharge you $50 some how to cover costs. Anyhow if you decide to do it please let us know how it goes.

I did a similar groupon deal in another town, when I tried to schedule it they were out 3-4 months, which of course didn't work. Unless you are very patient, I'd pass because chances are good you'll have trouble using it.
