We're planning to move to The Woodlands/Spring area next year and I'm wondering about Gleannloch Farms and Bender's Landing. Does anyone live in either of theses places or know anything about them?

Neither are in The Woodlands. GF is in Klein.

try The Woodlands - Home or The Woodlands - The Woodlands is the #1 master-planned community in Texas - north of Houston.. The schools are much better in The Woodlands than they are in Spring.

Gleannloch farms is actually Spring and right up the street from me. Gorgeous upper class area with lakes, walking trails and golf courses. Beautiful homes located about 30 minutes or so from The Woodlands. . Klein school district. Elementary school in the front of the neighborhood. Great neighborhood in a perfect location, quaint little shops popping up everywhere next to it. Great access to restaraunts, grocery stores, strip centers.
I don't know anything about Benders Landing(?).

Thanks for the replies so far. Anyone else have any additional information such as other great areas to live in? I should probably add that our price range is 400,000 to 500,000.

The Woodlands has more around it than Gleannloch farms does. The schools are better too (although people don't want to admit it)

Default Benders landing

both communities are very nice, both have very good school districts. You cannot go wrong with either neighborhood.
I feel that Benders landing is more upscale and the houses are on acre + lots.
Benders landing is all custom homes builders whereas Gleanloch farms are productioni builders.

Comehometothewoodlands is right on the money with taxes and info about benders landing.
Price ranges are increasing, they now have houses that are 1,300,000.
Follow this link to view houses listed in Bender Landing:

lovetntx I know a lot about benders because I have been building custom homes in that neighborhood for over 2 yrs. I also know a good amount about gleannloch farms because i own realestate company.

I feel that either neighborhood is a good decision, you just need to see which one has the house that fits your needs.

I think I'd have trouble just paying the electrical bill on that place...

We live in Windrose which is in Spring near Gleannloch Farms. Prices range from $140's to the $800's. I love the neighborhood! It has the walking trails, playgrounds, lake, and an elementary school. The Woodlands are really nice, but the commute is ridiculous.
