Hi all!

I just recently moved to the Houston, Texas area from New York. I am a young girl, 24 years old. I like to party, dance, go out and have a good time. My problem is, I am living in the Webster area of town, and it seems dead. The only people I've met so far are older, 30+ married with kids, or only into religious activities. Don't get me wrong, I loooove the Lord with all my heart!!! And I enjoy going to church on Sundays, but I also like to have fun in other ways, lol. So far I only get invited to church functions and one party--a party for the church pastor. Ahhh! I need a young and fun group of friends. Where are they hiding?? HELP!

Is your job locacted there? Young singles aren't usually move to the small towns or outer suburbs. Can you move closer to the Houston center - or will that take you far from your job?

Work is also a good place to start Seriously... I met my wife at work while she was in the Paris office and I was in Houston.... Next thing I know I was flying to Paris every other weekend just to date her. Talking about being persistent... It was all worth it...

Wow, Ethan! That's awesome. :-) I have met some really great people at work, but I am the youngest person at work. The 30+ married folks, who love to spend their Saturday night at home with their kids or at a church function--yea, those are my co-workers. haha

Oh, and hi, TexasUser! :-)

That would be a big cultural shock for you. Trust me, I know how it is. I am from California. Both are Liberal.
