We are considering one of these subdivisions to rent in (Fall Creek or Sienna plan ). Both are the same distance from work (near hobby) but would like to hear others opinion on which has a better commute, shopping/ dinning and if there's any crime in those areas.

Any input would be helpful.

Thanks

Sienna Plantation should give you easy access to 610 via Fort Bend Parkway (and Hwy 90) - into Hobby Airport. Even taking Almeda (Tx 527, I believe) will be convenient. Not sure about the commute from Fall Creek - since its near BW8 east - you would either have to come down to 610 or look around BW8 east which is still not complete.

My suggestion - out of the above two options - Sienna.

I would think that Fall Creek would not be the best option for commute wise but not quite sure abt that. As for shopping and dining not much around FC. YOu have a few places to eat like Chilis and Chick Fil A and it is growing but still not much there. As for shopping you have WalMart or you have to drive into Atascocita/Humble area to eat and shop.

Of those 2 options: Sienna Plantation.

You have much more around you in that area. Shopping, restaurants, etc. Fall Creek is nice, but there just isn't a lot in the immediate area just yet. And since you are leasing and not buying I would choose Sienna.

If you are considering Sienna Plantation, you might want to consider Riverstone as well. It has easy access to shopping and is close to Fort Bend Toll road and 59

Out of those Sienna for sure...but why not a Pearland neighborhood. You could take Pearland Pkwy that turns into Monroe and be there in 5 mins

I have rented in Sienna going on 3 years and decided I will be moving out of Fort Bend this year. It is too far away from everything. There is no interesting dining or shopping in Missouri City around Sienna. Folks usually end up going to Sugar Land. I think it is a good idea to rent first, so you can see what it is like. I like other people was drawn to Sienna by all the marketing for Sienna and Fort Bend County in general, but decided it is too much hype and over the years have become very disappointed. Sienna is pretty with all the amenties, but it really isn't special. Just your typical master plan community unfortunately, with high property taxes, high HOA dues comparable to a master plan community in the east, and overrated school system in only one location in the whole Missouri City area (Sienna). The district is not even exemplary. Too much hype.
