As the Oak Forest area continues to thrive I wonder if the spill-over can reach Inwood Forest. Aside from the closure of the golf course, the fact that Inwood is not in HISD has to hurt in some fashion. Aldine has won multiple awards and has some great schools, but there is a stigma that it is low income.

What do you think, can Inwood make a come back?

I think areas are going to have a hard time "coming back" in the current economy. I'm just hoping the "bad" areas don't spread.

Gentrification or whatever you want to call it is kind of at a standstill in this economy. When things get better, which they will hopefully sooner rather than later, then we will see more strength in emerging areas. Whether or not Inwood Forest will be one of those is anyone's guess.

Adline ISD is not a good school system. It's won awards due to funny math and outright lying. You shouldn't believe it.

As for Inwood Forest itself, the apartments on Guld Bank and vacant lots need to go before it has any chance of revival.
