Im looking for a room to rent in Dec to host my sons 2nd bday party in Dec. I used a church scout hall last year but its not available this year. It would be for around 60 ppl. If you know of a church, community or any small reception hall near the heights area/downtown please let me know! Thanks

The Lindale Park Civic Club has a small hall just right for that size of a group - very close to the Heights. I was at a reception for a retired Scout leader there just this month. Here is the info (I can't vouch for whether it is current)

Lindale Park Civic Club, Houston Texas

If you want to go take a peek at it first - it is on Joyce Street, just east of Fulton (between Cavalcade and 610), right behind the oversized mansion!

You would have to use street parking...might be a downside.

There is a meeting hall downtown by St. Joseph's Hosp. Private parking area. If you are going to have outside blow ups or pony rides, this is perfect. Big hall inside. Communiction Workers of America. 1730 Jefferson, 713 654 1115

I am looking for a hall to have my daughter 18th birthday dinner April 25, 2015. This is also for her home school graduation/prom and introduction of their fashion blog alone with her sister. A brief fashion show showing their fashion. 150 guest.
