How hard (or easy) is it to convert an electric range to GAS in older
homes (1930's - 70's)?
If you've had experience with this, PLEASE share...

1) Price Range
2) Contact numbers to companies
3) Any tips

Thanks!

You want to add gas line to you kitchen, so you will be able to use gas for cooking, right? You don't want to "convert" the range?

As elnina pointed out, one doesn't actually 'convert' an elec range to gas. What you do is buy a gas range to replace your elec range, and run a gas line to it.

If you have gas already in or very near your kitchen, running the line may not be TOO expensive. If you have gas in your house (maybe for water heat or heat) but not in your kitchen, it will cost a little more. Depends on where the gas is and where you need to run it.

If you don't have gas in your house, you are, to use the old cliche, SOL. Your options are so expensive at that point they are not worth discussing.

Good luck!
