Could anyone help me answer this question? How much does it cost to build a brick fence for 500 linear feet?

Thanks

I'm not quite sure I seen an aluminum fence but that dont mean there is none. Have you looked at the vinyl/PVC fencing?

Brick walls. Do you mean red brick or block. Red brick will run from $4 to $8 SF depending on where in the USA you are. Ohio and Pennsylvania that I know of are major producers of red brick so being near these states will be cheaper. Out west will cost you more. You will also pay more for some pretty colors such as shades of brown as opposed to plain red.

So as you can see, brick is very very expensive.

I would go with brick. It is classier than aluminum and it will last longer.

If it's just for privacy, how about some big evergreen type trees? They grow pretty fast and a great or privacy.

I would surely go with the brick. And if you ever had to sell your home for whatever reason, brick is so much nicer then the aluminum. Would this be for the front or back yard.

Brick fence ...? Or are we talking a "brick wall" or what. Just running the numbers on a 6' tall brick wall at a length of 500' equates to 3000 sf. Based on the low end of 4 bucks a sf, that puts the cost at 12 grand. High end of 8 bucks is double the cost. If you got the money, I'm sure a contractor has the time. I will say that if you're looking for privacy and the fence you are wanting to install is adjacent to a public road or highway, I believe the city or state should eat the cost. Otherwise, it's on your nickle.
