Thanks for the help so far. Im not really good at this type of stuff so It's nice to get others opinions.

This is a sunroom/breakfast eating room thing.

Two of the walls are stone and two are windows looking out into the yard.

This is what the stone looks like:

The carpet is going to be ripped up and the tiles placed down. I found some that is a tan type color that I thought would look alright. Any thoughts on if it should be light or dark tile?

What is the size of the area? I assume not that large if it's a breakfast room. I'd probably go with a lighter color to make the room appear larger (I guess tan but I'm so tired of seeing EVERYTHING in bland neutrals) - How about a light blue, cream, peach or green?. (I haven't read the other thread, no fireplace here - but I will). Just thought I'd throw that out there.

Go with a neutral cream color that matches a medium shade in the stone, then when you decorate, you can bring in any color you want in the throw rugs and pillows and you have the option of changing any time you want.

If you pick a colored tile, you'll be stuck with it for a very long time and its bad for resale

Great answer. Now my wife will be convinced. I was looking at a tile that was a tan/cream color. I think that is what we will use. Thanks again.
