Hi,

The 8 year old Bruce (Hardwood) Floors in our home need a little TLC. I can't get them clean - always hazy and sticky... buildup of gunk on the floor over the years. I've bought some of the Bruce Products in the past. The floors are in moderate shape - it is their appearance that concerns me. Any suggestions? Can they be "revitalized" without costing a ton of money?? I would love to see them look like new again. They were so pretty when they were new.. thanks.
Oh, I have the floors in high trafic areas - foyer, hall, half bath and kitchen. I do have some throw rugs for protection....
thanks.

You might get response in the House forum. Have you gotten quotes from the dustless refinishing companies?

You HAVE to try Bona X Hardwood Floor cleaner- you don’t dilute it. *It works amazing! Our floors are similar hardwood floors.

Here’s where I purchase it:

I use Bona hardwood floor cleaner and a microfiber mop as well. They make my 2 year old hardwoods really shine.

I'll have to get my cleaning lady to use that on my floors.

I've had excellent results from Restoration Re-New. I give it to my clients that have hardwood floors to spruce up the look. It fills in small indentations and adds sheen. I have a dog and I use it once a year to rejuvenate the floors and I'm quite happy. You can get it cheaper if you look around..

Thanks, has anybody had the foggy look to their floors? A person on Amazon said the product didn't help the foggy look on her floors. It sounds the same - you see it more at an angle. It makes the floors so dull .

Of course, I knew better than to use target products and too much water over the last few years...

I bought one product at lowes a few years ago - forgot the name.. but I had seen it on TV. The product was a layer of something - like a shallaq (spelling). I think it would have worked if it had been applied professionally...
