LOL I can buy a house for less than that, land included in many smaller cities and towns in the northeast or midwest and were talking very low crime at that!

Today's modern manufactured homes (trailer homes) can be very nice. Owning your own land to place it on is BY FAR the best way to go. You avoid the "trailer park" scene which can be quite ugly because you can't pick who your neighbors are or how they live. AND, you're putting equity into your own property and not to a park's landlord.

These homes are a good option for 1st time buyers, single parents on a budget, retirees - just go with a reputable manufacturer and place it on your land so you have control of your environment.

Yes, mobile homes are usually considered to be undesirable and a bit "hick-ish". But there are mobile home parks where prices are above $1,000,000, some even reaching close to $3,000,000!

Don't believe me, read it:

Mobiles are what you make them. If you live like trash then you become trash, same as in a house. Here is my 2 cents....buy a lot, for less than renting a place to put it you can own the land, then later if you desire build.
Living in Delaware I would sugest you look north for a dealer they use more insulation. The father south you go the less insulation. IF you go used find out where it was built. There are lots of floor plans to choose from good luck.
