I'd like to make an accent wall by the mirror area in our half bath. The bathroom is white and red, divided by a chair rail. The cabinets and trim are white. Floor is brazilian cherry. The granite counter (courtesy of the previous owner) is kind of this tannish (a bit pinkish?) color with black veining. It's kind of busy. I'd really like to use these mosaic glass tiles since they incorporate all of the colors of the bath and look funky/festive (which is what I'm going for).
Let's try again with this picture because it opened for me for some reason, sorry.
Flamingo - The bronze one is uniform, so can't quite describe that one as busy. I just prefer mosaic squares/penny round glass tiles to brick type ones. And I like things bold. The surrounding walls are white and I have too much gray. Don't want something to just blend in. The granite itself, while nice, isn't really a focal point of the bath...at least to me.
Can't see too much of the granite in there, but I think that the first backsplash is too busy for it. This one might go a bit better while still bringing in the red. It's still a fairly busy pattern, but it's softened a bit with more of the stone in there.

Hm that is food for thought. I liked the first tile because it incorporated all of the colors in the bathroom and had that bold look that I was going for. this is our home til we retire, so i'm not worried about resale but at the same time I don't want the tile to totally clash with the granite and look bad. I personally prefer solid, more uniform granites for this very reason - I can use a variety of backsplash styles. But alas, it's far cheaper to find the right tile than to remove the granite

There's nothing really "bold" about your choice- it's just CLASH.
If the granite is staying, use a solid color tile.
I'd probably just go with a complimentary paint color- not COLORS- or maybe just put the two pieces of mirror back up and call it a day.
