replaced old corroded toilet water valve, once the water was back on, there was a small drip about once every 20 seconds. fixing this would require (obviously) the water to be shut off again.
What would be the cause of this? it is a quarter turn valve - which I like.
It does not have a compression style pipe - which made the job easier. the pipe from the wall is already threaded, so it was a matter of just swapping them out. I worry that if i crank down too hard now, It could be worse.
I used a compound instead of tape. is it possible that it was "washed" off (asthere was still water coming out) while threading? It is the only thing I can think of.
