If you store a lot of batteries out of their packages, make sure the + and - ends are not touching. Don't just put them all in a big pile or in a bag. They can short and get real hot.
Keep them in their original packages. Problem solved.
Exactly. What does this have to do with AA batteries? Moreover, why is a AA battery that different than a AAA, C or D or any other type of battery?
The unique thing about 9v batteries is that their positive and neg terminals are right next to each other
