Wow! I thought I was the only one!! I don't love the mirrors, but I really do like the reverse painted glass. I think tile and grout is a ridiculous idea for an area that gets splashed with water/grease/sauce on a regular basis.

My sister has mirrored strips back they, yes, the previous owners had them there. she bought the house anyway...
She liked the look, but it did look messy as it reflects everything, plus windex will become your best friend. She has since re did the kitchen to her taste, which is another reason you should not have to take down, pull off rip away just to think what you are doing the next buyer wants..........you never really know.



I have the copper battina panels for the backsplash, love it and it never looks like it needs to be cleaned.....and that is what I am talking about


personally, I would not go for anything back there that will need to be wiped all the time.
