Hello,

Is anyone familiar with granite or quartz composite sinks? We are installing new countertops and debating what kind of sink to install?

We are pretty set on 1 large basin. Our granite will be a light cream color. So we were considering this one below. They are supposed to be stain, scratch and heat resistant and come in a varitey of colours.

I'd love to hear from any of you who have these sinks and what you really think of them, please.

I have a Silgranit sink and love it This is my second one since I renovated my kitchen 5 years ago. I went for an undermount sink when I renovated.

What I love about the sink:

1. Virtually impervious - nothing stains it.
2. If you do scratch it with a pot or pan, I just take a Teflon sponge and buff it out.
3. Water will not spot like stainless steel sinks if you don't wipe it down after use.

You won't be disappointed!

Thanks so much for your reply! This is exactly what I wanted to hear.

May I ask what colour you have?

My friends have two Moen composite sinks.....black. They love them.
I would definitely go with an undermount, with granite.

The counter top is a quartz material too. I love them both I have no regrets and would do it again!

I agree with the posters. I had a double black granite sink undermounted on a granite countertop. I just loved that sink so much. Best sink ever. Big, deep and cleans so easily. The sink and the faucet were Blanco and it was the best $1000 I have ever spent on a kitchen.

We had a black granite composite sink for years and it looked as good as new after several years of hard use. The only reason we got rid of it on our recent remodel is for a soapstone farmers sink which we also love. The sink we had was from Home Depot and I do not think it cost us much even with a stainless faucet. Jay
