I have hot water baseboard heat with four heating zones and powered by an oil boiler. I noticed last night that the boiler was kicking on but thought nothing of it because I was doing a warm water wash. Turns out that I had a broken zone valve and one zone was stuck in the on position despite my heat being turned off.
My question is, why is my baseboard still hot (very hot, not warm) over 6 hrs after the zone valve in question was replaced? Is there another issue we overlooked? Boiler has also fired up once post fix.
