I use "daily shower" regularly with squeegie after showering and was beginning to get a little soap scum build up so I cleaned my clear glass shower doors with Soft Scrub bathroom cleaner now I have a film on the glass doors that I can't get off. I have used vinegar and also car wax lifter with steel wool. After washing off the film reappears.

You scratched the glass by using these products. On a small piece of cloth try a little lime away, but read lable first. I use Rain-X and that works very well.

I've recently seen it mentioned in a few places to try using a dryer sheet (the ones you toss in the dryer when cleaning clothes). Apparently they contain ingredients that soften water deposits that cause the residue. I havent tried it yet, but will be the next time I clean. It's worth a shot!

The origional poster has been gone for 2 years now but here is the correct answer.

Why put the soap scum there in the first place? If you put it there then you have to clean it off often. Instead use NON soap options like Aveeno brand. It is a non soap cleansing bar. The only 3 on the market is Aveeno, Shaklee which is bought from independant dealers and Neutrogena. Shaklee is the best but a pain to find your local dealer. Neutragena is disgusting on your skin. It feels like slimy baby oil. Aveeno is the best. It can be bought in any drug store.

A non soap cleansing bar leaves no scum on anything because there is none in the product. Normal soap burns the acid mantle from your skin. This acid mantle is part of your immune system and protects you from these silly little colds and flus.

Probably 98% of the population buy these horrible products like Ivory, Dove, Lifeboy, Palmolive and so on. The 2% who do not use them are Dermatoligests and those with alergies to the aweful ingrediants they put in these soaps. They know better.

Using a non soap you will feel cleaner and you will never ever have to scrub soap scum from your tubs or sinks for the rest of your life. I have not had to scrub a tub in more then 30 years. It never gets dirty but for a normal wipe down now and then.
