Yes it wil be more expensive than just any door and the results.Mnay would be surprised that its not that big a job to a cabinet nakers and he can deliver the door ready for the hinges to be screwed on in little time.If its a custom door its likely the only way of getting a good job. Poieplem ight be surprised that unless a perosn want6s something special many customer makers now order the orders from large shopss that do nothing else but make raise panel doors to custom size for example. Setup time and mass prodcution is the realy saver here.
