I have always thought about staining and polishing a concrete floor. Has anyone done it themselves? I'm considering doing it to the whole house, and then using area rugs to define spaces.

A few people have said it would be better to tile the whole house, but I keep thinking it would be less $ to rent polisher and do it ourselves. Am I crazy?

I guess I should add that we have some carpeted area, old tile area that we are planning on removing and some vinyl to take up.

Default staining concrete floors

Hi,
Did you ever do this? I'm considering it too for a finished basement.
