I asked my sisters boyfriend at the time about them and he told me more about them. He said Honda stopped making them because they were unsafe??
I never heard of any safety issues with the Odyssey. Honda replaced the original FL250 with the FL350 in 1985 which had some overheating problems the factory wasn't able to correct (they were air cooled and the engine was located behind the seat which restricted air flow). It was dropped after a year when they started developing the Pilot FL400 which was liquid cooled, more powerful, and had a suspension (the Odyssey was basically a go-cart chassis). But the price tag on the Pilot was a lot higher so sales weren't nearly as strong and it was dropped in 1990.
