OK, I am sure this is the dumbest question EVER so I apologize in advance. I am female and have few mechanical skills, if any.

I had a flat on the interstate. My center wheel cap got lost in the process of getting the spare put on and tire repaired.

So, I called the local Pick-A-Part, and was told I can get one there but I have to bring my own tools and take it off myself. If I damage it in the process it's my problem.

What tools do I need? How do I remove it without damaging it?

Thank you very much.

It depends on the cap. You'll either need a philips and flathead screwdriver if its screwed on/clipped on, or if it's like my old Jeep, the entire wheel has to come off and you pop it off from behind the wheel. That requires a jack, lug wrench and some muscle.

If I were you, I'd call your local dealer to see what they'll charge you for one. The one for my Jeep was $26 when a tire place lost it, and 15 minutes of my time to lift it with a floor jack and swap it out. A normal jack will work fine, just takes a little longer.

It’s been my experience that self-serve salvage yards rarely have any vehicles this new. I’d check out Majestic Honda or go to your Honda dealer.

I believe you need part number 44732-S9A-A00

A quick search of ebay produced 86 listings for CR-V wheel caps. Some singles, many sets of four. Prices were $15-up. Find the one that looks like yours, and simply gently press it back on your wheel.
