Ok so my kitchen walks out into a hall that connects the front door with the living/dining room (living and dining are one open area). I have a sage green in the newly remodeled kitchen and I'm trying to figure out what color would go nicely in that room. There's a window from the kitchen to the living room and the living room is all hardwood with a stone fireplace as seen from these pics:

This is the only pic I have right now of the living room unfortunately...picture it without the boxes lol.

I was thinking kind of an orangish/tan color but I was afraid of anything too dark brown with the hardwood flooring being kind of dark. The new vertical blinds are steel grey to match the stone fireplace.

Any ideas?

Check out Restoration Hardware's line of paint- lots of colors that would work well with the kitchen color, etc... Good luck!

Do you have sofas, rugs or drapes picked out already? Usually it's much easier to pick paint last if you can. If that's not possible, you might pick a color from the stones in your fireplace or the grout.
